BASF announced to increase the Formulation and Performance Additives, Melapur included in North America in September 1, 2021.
Melapur MC flame retardant is a salt of melamine and cyanuric acid. It has a higher thermal stability than pure melamine, remaining stable up to about 320ºC. For this reason, Melapur MC flame retardant is often applied in polymers with higher processing temperatures.
BASF to increase prices for Formulation and Performance Additives in North America
CHARLOTTE, NC, September 1, 2021 – Effective September 15, or as contracts allow, BASF’s Formulation and Performance Additives business will increase prices for its product lines in North America. This increase is driven by continued and rapid escalation of raw material costs, their availability, packaging costs, and increased manufacturing and transportation costs. This increase is required in order to provide continued service, support, and sustainable product manufacturing for our customers. These product lines include BASF brands Attagel®, Calsan®, Curesan®, Dispex®, Irgafos®, Irganox®, Efka®, Foamaster®, Foamstar®, Hydropalat®, Melapur®, Loxanol®, Rheovis®, Sterocoll®, and Tinuvin®.
